Mainfreight Albany 5K
The Mainfreight Albany team joined the annual Workforce Team Challenge 5K in Albany, NY. This is the largest running event in the Capital District of New York. The Hudson-Mohawk Road Runners Club organizes the run and serves as the major fundraiser.Workforce Team Challenge is dedicated to promoting health and wellness of local corporation employees while also donating all registration fees to charitable organizations.
This year’s benefactor organization is the Oakwood Community Center which offers a welcoming and nurturing space for the diverse residents of Troy, NY to become neighbors who care and advocate for each other. Mainfreight is so happy to be a part of helping friends in need as we strive to always think of family first. Branch manager Bryce Hicks stated, "While running doesn’t always seem like a great idea, the team bonding, effort and collaboration were outstanding. The reward of a personal challenge is unmatched, especially when you can participate with your Mainfreight Mates! We plan to continue this annual tradition as our team grows."
