On 24 and 25 June 2025, the NATO summit will take place in The Hague (NL). Major safety and traffic measures will be taken for the transport of world leaders and delegations between Schiphol Airport and The Hague. This will lead to various temporary road closures and detours, with possible major disruption and delay for road transport in the Randstad region. The measures will take effect from Sunday afternoon 22 June and may cause serious traffic disruption until Friday morning 27 June. The transport of the world leaders from Schiphol to The Hague will take place via a cordoned-off route, known as the corridor, on the A5, A4, A44 and N44, with 1 or more lanes closed. For more information, please refer to the Rijkswaterstaat website.
What does this mean for your shipment?
Our planning and drivers are preparing as well as possible, yet it is expected that these closures and detours will affect the lead time of shipments in the Randstad. Besides the city of The Hague, the areas around Scheveningen, Wassenaar, Noordwijk, Sassenheim and Katwijk will also be inaccessible. The Lisse and Leiden region will also be affected. We will not load or unload shipments in the postcode areas 2200 to 2299 and 2500 to 2599 from Monday 23 to Thursday 26 June with regular transport.. A 48-hour delivery will apply in the postcode areas 2100 to 2199 and 2300 to 2399. Please note that your shipment may be delayed.
Our team is doing its utmost to ensure the continuity and quality of our services and minimise the impact on you and your customers. We ask for your understanding.
