AM Operations - Mainfreight Metro, Brisbane (Berrinba)

The role will be varied but most of all, you will be involved in the day-to-day loading of our customers’ freight to a number of local destinations. You will also be required to liaise and work with various team members & drivers daily to ensure that all our valued customers freight is being loaded on the date of receipt and in the most efficient and profitable manner.

Experience in the industry isn’t necessary but willingness to learn quickly, work hard and motivated people are welcome to apply. 

We are looking for someone who is not afraid to get their hands dirty and bring a positive attitude to work. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the organisation.

You will be joining a small team of people looking to grow the Metro brand in the Brisbane market. With the branch still in a growth phase there are great opportunities for the right candidate to have a strong input into the development and future of the business.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Loading & unloading local pick-up, and delivery trucks
• Freight sorting
• Checking freight in and out of the depot
• Manifesting of consignments utilising RF Scanner/ wand
• Load Restraint
• General housekeeping duties
• Work closely with our Operations Team to achieve KPI targets
• Communicate pickups and deliveries with customers
• Make Freight and DC bookings

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Experience in loading/unloading interstate/PUD trucks, not necessary but preferable
• Forklift license
• Team Player
• Easy to deal with & positive mindset
• A strong work ethic and an eye for detail
• Ability to act in a fast-paced environment.

HOURS

This is a full-time role, on site at Berrinba.
Working hours will be from 0430am – 1400pm, Monday to Friday
