Update Spring 2021
Recently, we have been experiencing extremely high volumes throughout our transport network. The increasing volumes continue and there are many depots that are in danger of reaching maximum capacity. Spring is usually characterized by a high volume. Currently, the supply of shipments is much higher than in previous years during the same period. High consumer spending also plays a role in this. In addition, due to the upcoming holiday season, we have fewer working days to handle shipments and we continue to be affected by the coronavirus that is still prevalent in Europe.Unfortunately, we therefore expect a delay of 1 day in the delivery of your shipments in the coming period. For this we apologize and we will of course do everything we can to minimize the delays.
By informing you about the developments in the market, you can inform other stakeholders and you as a customer will be better prepared for the consequences.
Holidays
In the coming weeks there are still a number of European holidays that may affect the transit time of your shipments. Our experience is that these holidays can cause delays before and after the holiday due to driving bans in surrounding countries and because traditionally a lot of cargo needs to be transported in less workable days. To know exactly what this means for the transit time of your shipments, please refer to our most recent holiday overview. If you have any questions or would like to discuss options for the transport of your shipments, please contact your account manager or our Customer Service Team (customerservice@nl.mainfreight.com / +31 (0)314 671 111).
