Our Metro team offers our customers a permanent hire service where we replace your fixed cost trucks or vans with a permanent or semi-permanent Mainfreight truck and owner driver. This option eliminates the hassle of repairs and maintenance, insurances, driver recruitment and capital costs - replacing them with a purpose fit vehicle and dedicated driver who knows your customers and provides a more flexible and variable operating cost.

Metro Transport Fleet

Our Metro fleet includes full range of vehicles to ensure any freight transport needs are met. With our comprehensive fleet we will send the appropriate vehicle for your sized freight.

VANS
Metro Transport vans are ideal for the pick-up and delivery of cartons, parcels and small pallets.

TAUTLINERS
Metro has a full range of taut liners ranging from 6 tonne to 14 tonne that can handle up to 14 pallets.

TAIL GATE
Our tail gate services at Metro Transport reduce the need for forklifts, making deliveries at even the toughest locations possible.

SEMI TRAILERS
Our semi-trailers fleet cater for larger freight transport requirements. Our dedicated fleets can meet all you across town transport requirements.

B-DOUBLE COMBINATIONS
Our B-Double combinations suit any large freight transport requirements. We move pallets, crates, lengths and machinery through our Metro Transport fleet.

Owner Drivers

Our dedicated Owner Drivers care for their vehicles, presentation and customers. With their income linked directly to the service they provide (not the hours they work) your teams will value the difference in attitude and customer service they provide. All owner driver vehicles are fitted with GPS tracking to ensure that the fleet can be managed, monitored and planned effectively.
